Just wanted to thank everyone for the posts I searched and sifted through for hours to get most of the information that I needed to complete it. I did a short drive and systems check and everything works perfectly.I`ll post some pics tomorow in the pics section if anyone is interested. Thanks again all.

I have never experienced an SR20DET before but why does my KA24E (early high compression engine) seem to have been way faster? The acceleration just seems lazy to me. I was able to get up to 160 KM`s on a straight where I could have gotten to 180 with the old engine. After 4,500 rpm there seems to be a drop off in acceleration and from a stop it doesn`t feel like it could even spin the tires unless I side stepped the clutch at 3000 rpm. I am running the stock intercooler and boost solenoid but have a K&N cone filter and high flow exhaust with stainless high flow cat. I ditched the egr solenoid and capped off that vaccum line and still have the charcoal canister hooked up. I put new NGK irridium plugs in (BKR6EIX), new thermostat and oem oil filter 300zx TT fuel filter and walbro fuel pump, a new aftermarket maxima clutch and pressure plate with KA24E throwout bearing. (I removed a three puck racing clutch and pressure plate) I also resurfaced flywheel. I want to run a little more boost when I am sure everything is working right and have a boost gauge and manual boost controller.

check your timing and your water temp sensor. ensure your injectors and all that jazz are spitting that gas when they're supposed to.

in your last post it sounds like you dont have a boost gauge. I would pick one up and make sure you are hitting how ever much boost it is supposed to.

Just a small update, I picked up a boost gauge and hooked and confirmed what I suspected. I am getting absolutely no boost, as in zero. I teed off of the fpr for the gauge (brand new autometer and it only measures boost). I checked for leaks and found one tube was a bit loose but after tightening that up I still had no boost at all. I am now going to yank that effing turbo out and find out WTF is NOT going on in there. I will refrain from naming the supplier (as long as the problem is rectified to my satisfaction) but it was not ebay and was from a large canadian company that has been in business for over 10 years. Thanks for the input.

Turbo was seized , pulled it off and returned for a replacement. Car has full boost now and ran pretty sweet all last summer. Now I am fighting a cold start issue (starts in a half second when its warmer outside) and an occaisional cut out when cornering or going over rough pavement. When I am not having these problems the engine works flawlessly, full boost, great throttle response. Those problems that come and go are very hard to find.
