We will be documenting a swap within a few weeks.

If you have any specific questions about this swap then please post them on this thread so we can address them in this DVD.

will you guys be doing a s13 sr20 into a s13 chassis again? I know you guys already have this video (which i purchased), but it really needs to be updated. I gotta be honest with you, I was extremely unsatisfied with the documentation in that video. If you are going to be me re-making this video, I'll be glad to include my thoughts and opinions on what you should include.

I purchased two DVD's from you sr20swap and sr20 engine build, I was just wondering the status on them? I see there's no tracking number yet. Also do you think I should just wait for the new one? To be honest I would really like to if it's going to be in a s14 chassis seeing thats what I have. Is it possible if i cancel my current purchase of the sr20 swap and just wait for the new one? thanks.

Just called your line. There was a hold because of the billing address.

There are a few options; S13 and S14 chassis. We need to work the scheduling out with the shop.

There is so much info for s13 chassis, can you do one for the s14? Or maybe even an s14 sr20det?

That is an option; there are about 4 SR swapped coming up, we just need to pick the one that we want to film first.

Filming might start as early as TUESDAY so we need more feedback by Sunday.

Are you going to go into some cautionary checks, likeOil Seal checks and oil pan re-sea/ timing check/alternator test/l and maybe checking the turbo lines before installation?stuff that people always overlook.

Good idea,

List everything that you would like us to cover in order of priority and we will have the shop review your requests.

im also interested in the s14 sr to s14 chassis swap. Making sure that there are good details about the wiring, maybe a front mount install.

and i agree with what was mentioned before about the seals, timing, and electrical tests.

and a side note:

have you guys thought about doing an upgrades DVD. Cam installsrebuilding headsrebuilding bottom endsgaugesbasic transmission maintenance, seals, and tests for problemsbrakessuspension parts and ways to tune them...(alignment) and recommended drift/drag/street settings

I think that would be an extremely nice collection, because i run across more and more people who dont know that tuning and proper install techniques do matter. and it will also teach how to extract the most out of your upgrades.

ah!!! yes, i have seen that...

does it cover actual tuning of upgrades...that is what i will be interested in for an s14 sr. and even more for the chassis.

i know how to install the parts, its just making the parts work to their potential and working together.

i am also wanting to get more serious about the suspension and power delivery. fine tuning for whatever i may be using the car for. daily, autox, maybe drifting.

No, but that is the general plan for the next RB DVD.

We can pump out a 90 minute DVD in about 3-5 working Days, so we just need to schedule a project like this. If you have any leads then please forward them to us.

If this video is just going to be the basic swap, nothing to far like rebuilding the motor than I'd say include things like replacing some of the usual OEM parts like water pump, any gaskets and what not. Also, you should try including details on issues of start up such as no spark or no fuel, or neither because the first one didn't really explain any of that. One other thing I always see coming up on the forums is the Q45 ignitor on the SR, maybe you could show that because many people have concerns with wiring that up. Thats so far the only things I can think of off the top of my head. O yea, and the first video didn't mention anything about the Z32 brakes in the rear, you could probably do that also. When I think of more I'll post it.

Also you might want to show where the vacuum lines go into because when I did my swap I was confused on the descriptions I was getting and on some diagrahms, I didn't even have the units shown.

I agree with showing each vacuum line, but also add to that showing each plug on the wiring harness also.

What about trouble shooting issues with the tachometer??? Some peoples tach's don't work after the swap, even the JDM ones. Just one suggestion.

tomorrow we will cover trouble shooting

do you have any more trouble shooting topics?

also, does anyone have any SPECIFIC S13 to S13 wiring questions, we already filmed the basics, what the cut, re-pin and extend.

I don't remember if the old dvd shows the connectors that aren't used. It'd be nice to point them out.

Good call. The connectors that are not being used were cut and we did an overview after the harness was done.

Also, we DO plan on covering the S14 wiring within a few weeks.

This is our 6th DVD since we started production in January 2007. Please continue to post your requests here so our content is more complete and useful.
