my engine didn't come with the factory kit or anything for that matter, I need to find a kit but it seems every one I find is for the z32 maf. can a kit for the z32 maf be converted to work with the stock maf? or,, what other options do I have?

....

go to a muffles shop, or an autozone: get some pipe, rubber fittings, a K&N

filter, and make something.

Dude I got mine for 25$ shipped from this one guy off the forums, but all he did was get some pipe, and had it bent. You might be able to see it in this pic. It was just one piece made.

This is the part that I thought I was buying off ebay a couple of weeks ago and when I got it it turned out to be some of that cheap "Spectre" ricer piping from AutoZone...sent that ish back and decided to stick with the stock rubber!

This is clean V

J/k

That's a much better price, Duff. Was it crush bent or mandrel bent? I can't tell what kind of MAF you're running either. Z or SR? If he swedged the end of your intake pipe up for the Z MAF, that would be awesome!

When I put my new S15 T28 on, I'll have to swap to a metal pipe I think since I'll be swapping to a Z MAF as well. Also, my rubber tube did collapse. Thanks Nissan! -_-

thanks for the input. I considered the parts store piping route, i just got to go ahead and do something. another question. whats the difference between a stock maf and a z32 maf suction kit? would it do me better to go ahead and upgrade to a z32 maf? Thanks!!

Zs use a 3" MAF outlet and SRs have a 2.5" outlet IIRC.

So, overall, it would be better to replace that stock rubber intake piece...if you can?

Don't you need a tune if you switch to a z32 maf?

Its an SR MAF, I don't have use for a Z MAF at the moment. But as for the bending I'm not sure which method he used to have it bent, I just bought it as is.

And yes clawhammer, you do need to have the Z32 one tuned for the SR.

Yeah. I'm also doing 50 lbs injectors at the same time I upgrade the MAF and ECU. Get it all done in one step
