So here goes the story that's happening to me.

I have 240sx with SR20DET and the transmission is stuck in 1st gear. With the car ON/OFF all it shifts into is 5th. Shifter moves side to side fine. I can start the car and run it in 1st gear, but if I try to shift into 5th it starts to grind. So because I can push the clutch pedal fine and it releases ok I think the clutch might be good, or maybe not. I'm not sure what's going on with it, any advice would be appreciated.

Jose

is the actual shifter bushing in the shifting linkage?

can it go to neutral while on/off?

Yes it is fully in. Also I can move the shifter all the way to the right and it releases back to the middle, but it won't move to the left, only right. I can put the car into reverse, but it still moves forward when letting go of the clutch.

So took the transmission apart and reverse and 5th fork is broken. A piece from it was in between the rod preventing the shifting.

So the for pn is 32819-S13002 for 240sx manual transmission.
Will this work on my SR transmission?

i dont doubt it would, but i aint positive
