sr20det starter question

hey everyone i did a bit of searching but i couldnt find much about this question.

would a 91 sentra starter (sr20de) work for my Sr20det motor? I know that its basically the same motor i just want to confirm so i dont get the wrong part. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure. My friend did some research on it and finally ended up getting it rebuilt. It cost about $150 and the place said it wasn't like any Nissan starter they have seen.

I got mine rebuilt for around 30 dollars, with a new solanoid and bearingsthe rebuild place didn't have a problem fixing it nor did they care it was from a motor that wasn't sold here

thanks for the responses i would really just like to get a new one instead of getting mine rebuilt... does anyone else have any experience with this

why spend the money buying a new one when you can get it rebuilt like new for a lot cheaper?
