I bought a 1991 240sx with an sr20det swap the car was used for autocross maybe drift I'm unsure I bought the car from a kid who was in high school who bought the car from the actual builder it has a lot of awesome parts so I couldn't say no to the deal. Now when the car is cold and I begin to accelerate it will either have little to no power at all or when it does get power it pulses and throbs almost like there's a cylinder dead. But as soon as the car warms up it goes away I thought I may have had a boost leak I don't have a tester but I tightened every fastener in the whole system. I also did my best do track and tighten all the vacuum lines. I do though have an exhaust leak at the turbo inlet. I have a set of gaskets for the whole exhaust side on their way but I'm not certain if its just the exhaust leak because once its warm it goes away. It's very apparent at low rpm when I apply moderate to slightly aggressive throttle it becomes so horrible even with my four point harness it will shake me against my shoulder straps. If anyone can help me and give me some clues I would be most appreciative.

Do you know if it is running rich or lean? Does it smell like fuel? Any smoke coming out?
Check your engine grounds.
Lastly, if you have a means of looking at your tune, make sure your cold engine fueling/ignition isn't all out of wack.

I don't have a wideband yet I'm trying to save up some money I fix an exhaust leak I had and I adjusted my mechanical boost level to roughly 10 to 11 occasionally peaking at 12 if I spol it on purpose it got a little better but it's definitely still there when its cold. It does smell quite Rich. No smoke from exhaust, but on ocasion some what I like to think is steam comes out of my bov
