sr20det sputtering/backfiring

Ok well I did search and got some good ideas. Unfortunately they were not helpful. I have a 93 hatch with an sr20det. What the car is doing it backfiring very loud frequently. It starts fine and runs ok, until you get to about 3k rpm if you try to hold the throttle it will sputter and sometimes bog down. But when you give it some more gas it will get less noticable. The car has noticable powerloss and I cannot even go WOT without bogging/ sputtering.

What have I tried?- Spark plugs- Wiring issues( still checking more indept)- Didnt really do much with the coilpacks except check the spark on each one. They were on the more orange side with a blue end. and I tried all 4. Not sure but i think they car supposed to be a bright blue. I just find it hard to believe that they would all go bad at once. I thought it was a wiring issue, but I cannot find anything out of the ordinary that has to do with this.

Im next goin to try the o2 sensor, retime it, and then...........?

all the coil packs dont have to go for you to run super crappy. I had 1 that would cut out under boost at WOT, when it would run on 3 cyl. It ran like this untill the sketch one eventually died completly and the mystery was solved.

bad mass air flow sensor (mafs) you either have it wired incorrectly or you need a new one.

How can I check if its the mass air flow? I know I had some wiring issues with it before but i cant find any thing wrong wit it now. and if i unplug it the car dies.

Will it rev past 3k?

if it won't rev past 3k it is probably the mafs...

if it will rev past 3k bit misses once the boost comes on check your plug gaps...should be .025-.028
