What is the top speed on an s13 sr20 red top? How much do they run for? What would they run in the 1/4 mile if they were stock, would it beat formulas, ram air transams stuff like that. Mustang gt's i tell everyone that they will spank it, but i dont know. How much would you have to do in order to get it running low 13's.? THanks.

Friend of mine ran 13.8@106 consistantly in his SR 240 hatch. This is on 225/45/15 Kumho tires too.

He had the following mods:1. Volvo FMIC w/ Hard Pipes2. S-AFC3. Boost Controller4. HKS BOV5. Intake6. Full Turbo Back Exhaust 7. 255lph Fuel Pump

However a ram air trans-am LS1 with lid and cutout will most likely outrun you as they run high 12s w/ 109 traps.

Mustang GT's will be decimated if they are stock. Even ones with bolt ons can be taken out by an SR 240. But add in spray or a blower and your gonna get owned.

The top speed is the same as the KA if it could rev to 7200 rpm. The gear ratios in the SR are the exact same as the KA gear ratios.

Yes, you can swap out the gearboxes, the bellhousings are whats different.

I call bull****. Either he wasn't on a stock turbo or it was 10 degrees outside and either way he is on some sort of tire.

stock tires, not bull****. thank you. possibility exists that he had internal work done, but from what he said, it was intake exhaust 12 psi and a front mount. it was prolly 75 degrees that night

The motor could very well have something done to it. Perhaps some cams or whichever. But it's hard to believe that he ran .8 seconds faster than a car with more mods on higher boost pressure without some sort of tire.

Do you recall his MPH?

Odds are he had an FP Big28 turbo, which at 12psi was proven to run 12.9s with the very same car that ran 13.8s on stock turbo.

i saw the engine bay, it looked stock and he said what he had, i thought, and no, i dont remember the ts

In all honesty the FP Big 28 looks like a stock turbo but isn't. You have to put it next to the stocker to tell the difference. And those FPs will put out more than 300rwhp and are capable of traps of 120 mph.
