Hey everyone, I have been doing some research/work on this and am still having some troubles.

I just took the sr20 on her maiden voyage so to speak (first long trip). She went 350kms each way to Vancouver and upon getting there I noticed it runs a tad rich on idle (just one notch into the 'rich' range on my A/F gauge). When I got home I ran carb cleaner through the IACV and it doesn't seem to make a difference. I have checked my air filter and it's fine too. You can get the odd hint of fuel from the exhaust but the actual idle isn't rough at all.

Is it normal for it to run a little rich on idle and I'm just a ree-tee and didn't notice earlier? When I'm driving it is fine.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

You can verify TPS voltage and mechanical ignition timing, but if you're not using a wideband O2 sensor with your A/F gauge then you pretty much can't trust anything it says.

the article I should have read all the way through first off wrote:A Walbro 255 lph fuel pump has been shown to consistently run stock FPRs at 43 psi with their vacuum sources plugged in. This will result in a slightly rich condition, which doesn’t affect drivability or performance. It does seem to adversely affect injector life, however.

...but, stock SR fuel pressure IS 43.3psi. Not sure how consistent, proper fuel pressure can produce a rich condition.

Where did you find that thread? Is it on NICO? 'cuz I did a little searching and I couldn't seem to locate it by cut/pasting a quote out of the above excerpt. I'd like to post the following screenshot there.

so 43.4. whatever.
