hey guys I am planning on swapping an sr20 into my 240 this summer, with the guys from red shift in chantilly VA (www.redshiftdc.com) I would like to know if the sr20 is a reliable engine. I ask this because one of my buddies said that after the swap there are a million things that can happen and cause headaches for me. So i would like to know what to look forward to if i do go through with this swap. t

do things right like checking the motor yourself and doing the install yourself along with other prep work helps lower the chances of problems. In general with any engine swap there are always things that come up. I havent heard too many swaps where there hasnt been some sort of problem *big or small*. Sr's are just as good as ka's and rb's and ca's its just depends on the condition of the one you get.

welcome nOob

i had my swap done about 3 yrs ago. so far i haven't done a thing accept oil changes. but then again it depends on the motor u get. jst try to make sure that u get ur motor from a reputable place. u'll pay a little more but it would be worth it. some place like heavy throttle
