I searched but couldn't find what I was looking for, the oiler tubes in the head . I removed my valve cover and what I saw wasn't pretty, everything was coated with burnt oil some places crystalized. Cam lobes are worn to the point where the lobes are missing 0.005 too 0.010, I can tell this from looking at where the rocker rides and doesn't ride. So I only imagine the rocker to cam seats look just as bad. Removed the oil tubes, some holes were clogged, I had a tool used for cleaning tips on torches( from welding supply)and cleaned the holes not making them bigger. Then used carb cleaner with the small tube that came with it, sprayed into each hole while holding tube vertical to let whatever drain out. Then used compressed air to blow threw tubes. Installed the tubes again, disconnected the CAS connector. Then had someone crank the motor while I watched the oilers to see if oil was coming out of the tubes, it was. Now I told that to get to this,:1. Has anyone else had or seen this problem2. What is the cause of it, I'm avid about servicing, preventive maint.3. Where can I find a reliable head rebuild shop in Houston area that is familiar with this head and it's shims, etc. I know the cams and rockers are gone and are going to have to be replaced. For all practicle purposes the head needs a total rebuild or replaced with a completed head. If the top of the motor gets to be rebuilt, so does the bottom, this is the only way to insure that whatever clogged the tube to began with won't be left in the lower part to happen again.

It's hard to say what clogged the tube to begin with. It's hard for particles to get in there as the tubes are fed by oil pressure making it past the rear securing bolt.

The times I've seen the oiler clog up was due primarily to coking. I worked on an SR last winter that had been ran low on oil with a big top mount turbo spewing exhaust gasses on the head (cracked manifold). The combination led to the oil coking everything on that side of the head.

I can't help you with finding a local shop. You might want to try the regional forums and see fi they can help you out.
