I don't know who is right but I was told that the SR engine redline is at 7200rpm. But when I bought my engine, the guy that I bought it from told me 8200rpm. Who's right?

If you have a stock valvetrain 7200 is the limit. Well technically 7500. I wouldn't rev to either without RAS, valvesprings, retainers, and solid pivots. 8200 = a demolished head.

i agree 8200 is rediculous unless your engine is completely built. i would stick to around 7000 on a stock engine.

I used to rev it till 7500 all the time with just rocker arm stoppers while autocrossing and never had any problems. I've revved past that a few times and never broke a rocker arm. I really dont care if I do, rocker arm stoppers can be had for cheap. The head is no where near as fragile as people make it out to be.

if you hook up the wire to the tach, you can set it to do an auto countdown. If not, you can manually select it to do 30 seconds, 1 minute, etc etc.

Go to the HKS website and you can get the english manual.

well Im not being a grammar Nazi... My car doesnt know what a rev limit is haha.

They will have a coating of oil the whole time so stainless doesn't matter much either. I'd just go with whats cheapest. I bought an HKS set when they were on sale for cheap.
