This is really weird and it may not have even been caused by the relocation but here's the story anyways... my battery was up front as usual so i decided to relocate it. I did the relocation 100% right to the best of my knowledge. After the swap i took the car for a quick drive to make sure it was all good. The car ran fine. Two days later when i went to drive the car, it started fine but as i went down the road the car was running as if it was still not warmed up (almost like a bad miss or vacuum leak). I barely made it back home. I figured the problem would have to be the relocation so i jus switch everything back to how it was (unrelocated the battery). Still no change, still ran like a miss or vacuum leak. I noticed the exhaust was cracked. I figured that was the problem so i got it welded and put it back on but still the car ran the same!!! It runs ok (actually drivable) below 2,000 rpm's, but when it gets over 2000 it starts cutting out and sputtering and backfires a lot i am completely lost!!! help me

Do you have any check engine light codes?

Whats the condition of the battery (Load test, age...)?

Is the alternator running fine?

The check engine light comes on right when it starts sputtering (2000rpm). I have no clue what code causes it to come on. The battery is brand new. The alternator is in good shape too.

This issue most likely has nothing to do with your battery install. Your battery or your alternator is not gonna suddenly make your car start running weird over 2000 rpms. First get the code your ecu is throwing. Most likely this will give you the source of your problem. Then use the FSM for your engine to diagnose the problem. That will help you alot more than anyone else on this site or any other site. Besides you will learn alot about your engine along the way.

FSm is factory service manual. My car did that once. Check the gasket between Turbo and Mani. Also check all your couplers.

Sorry i forget that i didnt know what FSM meant once. Factory Service Manual. You can find it for free all over the internet. This site has pretty much any manual you would need dealing with 240s. Its alot better than trying just every random thought that comes to peoples mind.
