What other factory radiators fit on the SR20DET into an s13?

I was thinking about getting a KOYO, but I dont want to spend that much.

I also heard that a 280z radiator will work, so I bought a 1978 280z 3row radiator. That doesnt fit.

Let me know if you guys know anything. Thanks

Why doesn't it fit? I've seen 2 people who ran 260Z radiators in there S13's and they fit fine other than the top brackets not lining up. Im not sure but 260Z are equivalent to 280Z radiators? I mean if there not than you got the wrong radiator. I should be receiving mine soon so we shall see if it does or not.

Actually I just found out its a 1976 280Z radiator and from the looks like of it it won't fit. I haven't gotten it in the mail yet but does your hood not close to do this? Im trying to figure out a way to get it in but does anyone have any input?

I'm using a 1976 280z radiator and it fits just fine ;) You have to make your own brackets/drill some holes but theres nothing wrong with using it. It'll work especially well for you SR guys!

Ok Sorry to dig this thread up but I just got my 280z 1976 radiator this evening and it has to go in TOMORROW... I sat it next to my busted wank *** Koyo (it was awesome but I got *** rammed by the previous owner on it's... like new condition..) and it is def. 2 inches taller... is this really not going to be a problem?? I looked at your car domain site Nathan but you have no pics of the 280z rad.

Return it..it doesn't fit! The 280Z radiator's don't fit...you need the 1974 260Z radiator. I tried several 280Z and the hood doesn't close. I bought one online too for cheap (260Z at partswire or something) for $120 but it was a generic but it didn't fit either so you might have to get the more expensive one like $200.

I talked to Nathan on AIM and he got the 260Z he just got the numbers confused.

Yeah Im sorry man, I have a 280Z radiator inside my garage and I can't get rid of it...just collects dust *sigh*So when you do get it make sure it fits the 260Z radiator and has the right dimensions! Don't get the one that can fit both because apparently, the 280Z radiator can fit a 260Z car and they will most likely give you that one.

I still have the stock KA radiator for my SR and if I don't sell the car I will have to get a KOYO and be done with it. Sorry again good luck!

thanks for the heads up too bad it's already here... my friend's dad ordered it from his shop so he can send it back I gotta cover the shipping though which sucks. I'm probably not going to be able to avoid getting another ****en Koyo.
