Hello. I would like help on the following. It would be really appreciated.

1. Timing:Does anybody know how to set base timing on the SR? I know how to do the CAS adjustment to 15 TDC, but is that all you need to adjust the timing? I get it exactly on the mark on the CAS and on TDC, but it ends up retarding to 9 Degrees. I've read that some timing lights can be inaccurate since they are used on the SR's DIS. Any advice on timing?

2: Ignition (or something else maybe? For some reason my number one cylinder doesn't seem to be igniting, therefore not running with the other cylinders. I've checked for raw fuel but the fuel injectors are pressurizing and misting the fuel correctly, ive checked the coil packs and spark plugs by rearranging all of them into cyl #1. still doesnt fire. ive checked compression and they all read the same. checked for leaks in the valves, but there are none. i have yet to place the intake box back, so i know once i put that on the MAF will read normally. the only thing i could think of are vacuum leaks elsewhere in the motor or perhaps in the intercooler. im calling this an ignition problem because the plug for number 1 cylnder on the coil pack is placing a lot of voltage into the coil pack compared to the onther packs. the other packs read around 0.12-0.34V while the number 1 coil pack plug registers at 10.12-10.41 volts. can anybody check the voltage of their plugs and tell me what i should do? thanks!!!!

to set your timing you must warm her all the way up and unplug the tps. that will make her freeze timing at a nominal 15* and then you just line up the 15* mark on the pulley with the timing light.

it sounds like that coil is not even firing. if you get no signal to the coil it will never let the spark out. that could be why you see constant voltage.
