Have you checked your ECU codes?

Sounds like a boost leak. and yes check ecu for codes. usualy if its a bad IACV..it wont be idling very well..it would try and hunt for an idle. Also make sure your maf is connected correctly.

post if your ecu is throwing codes

Pull your passenger side kick panel inside the car, and look at your ECU. On one end you should see an LED light, and a small screw. Turn the ignition on, but don't start the car. Turn the screw all the way to the right, and then part of the way back to the left, until the LED starts blinking. It will blink codes at you: first a series of long blinks, then a series of quick blinks. This tells you what trouble code your ECU has logged. I.e. five long blinks, five short = 55, which is the "all clear" code (nothing wrong).

Do a search for the list of trouble codes, it's only in about 1,000,000 places on this forum or elsewhere. As is the procedure I just explained.

Ok. So in first gear u hit 2k,shift to 2nd and hit 2k, shift to third hit 2k the quicklydownshift to second gear close to 3k and from there u should be able to hit redline. Either bad maf or loose maf connector. Mine would alway pop out cuz mine nevercame with the clip.

Don't just change it, test it first with a multimeter. The FSM gives you instructions on how to do it. Again, you can search for the specifics, it's been covered a few times.
