SR20DET Problems, frustrating

Heres the deali-o

S13 sr20det, brent a valve so we did a head swap, car ran alright before (a bit rich), but then after the swap started running like crap. The motor is completey, I mean completely stock, FMIC and an old school HKS BOV are the only different from stock setup.

The car has an emanage installed, nothing was changed on it except for a Frimware upgrade that put everything back to the default values. Which have all been verified to be correct and the wiring was not messed with.

This is what the car does....

rough start (takes about 5 turns of the key and gas to start)idles like complete utter crapalmost dies when the gas is hitslowly rev up and starts to backfire around 3-4k rpmsometimes it will rev past 3-4k

We have checked for all boost leaks, could not find any. Swapped MAFS for a known working one. Ran the ECU for codes, got nothing. I'm am lost and about to take the emanage out and go back to stock.

Any suggestions on what to do?

The valve was bent by a mis-shift by the owner, it didnt come that way at all. The car was bought with the SR already installed. I'm just trying to get it running right.
