ok well i just finished my 2nd sr swap a week ago and i am have some oil problems.....oil presure is fine but when i let the car sit over night and start it in the morning it basicly has to prime the whole system all over again and takes about 10sec for the oil light to go out and the lifters tick form no oil i have tryed changing filters and i do have one with a anti drian back valve.....so yeah any ideas ???? early morin start ups are starten to be scary and i am fresh out of ideas .......thanks alot for any help

how many miles on that engine? the pump could be worn, or the other thing that would cause somethin like that would be the timing chain oil jet being loose or off, just off the top of my head.

theres about 60,000kms on it so not to much.what i was thinking is that if the pump was worn it would be low all the time not just on cold start ups. its like all the oil is falling out of the engine and im haveing to reprime it every morning

what weight of oil are you useing?

you might want to check to see if the oil pickup is loose as well.

well if the oil pick up was loose then there whould be bubbles in the oil cause its suckin up air aswell but any way i found the problem ....god damm oil pan hadd a dent in the one coener the size of a dime and so i toke the pan off today and pounded it out anyway and hot damm the oil persure went from 3psi to 30 i should have know better but hey we all make mistakes anyway thanks for all the help and suggestions
