I now have my SR20DET installed and just started to hook things up in my 89 240SX coupe.I have converted to the DOHC power steering lines but I am one line short. There was 2 two hoses hooked up to the P.S pump in the front clip and I only have one line. I have searched the forum and google and can`t find any answers as to W.T.F. is going on here.Anybody know what I need to hook up my power steering lines to the stock pump. The clip has super hicas if that makes any difference. .Thanks in advance guys, there was a sr20det silvia drifting around our shop yesterday and I am really getting bummed not being able to drive mine yet.

Hicas will make a difference. Otherwise if you had a dohc ps line, you'd have one line from the rack go down to the crossmember and loop back and up to the reservoir, and the other would go to the pump, on the driver side.

If your pump is hicas you have to take the back of the pump off, remove the vanes, reassemble it and cap off the back fitting. I used a bolt with teflon tape. There are some how to's on how to do it. You'll have to search for them.

Thanks for the help guys, I did a 3 hour search that night and found instructions with pics to modify the pump, worked great. The autowrecker sent me an effing hicas DOHC reservoir so I just capped the 3rd outlet off with a rubber hose and a bolt for now.Wiring harness this weekend and hopefully I`ll be back in the saddle again. My winter 91 Stanza just doesn`t have the smiles per mile my coupe has. I hope to post some pics here soon.
