hey guys i need some input on thisim planning on sending my ka ecu to jwt for a remap to run my sr20 and they said that if i wanted later to upgrade injectors and other stuff they can reset it again, so i figured why not do some upgrades and have it ready instead of having to send the ecu bak again.

the question i have is : i have a basically stock sr black top with minor bolt ons(megan maniflod, full turbo back, hallman mbc, front mount ic and hard pipng and hks ssq, walbro 255pump) the thing is i want to get some hks 264 cams stage 1's.what side feed injectors should i use? 480cc s15? 550cc?do i have to replace springs and other valvetrain components?what gains can i expect?is it a good setup fo the stock t25 turbo?

thanks guys

sam

I'd get some reworked and flow tested 550's for such low goals. THe boost bug will bite and you'll eventually go T28 so forget the 480's.

I dunno how to put this... Do you even research parts before you go to buy them? Or do you just say hmmmmm I want this part and go? The reason I ask is that if you had even lightly looked into the HKS Step 1 cams you'd see that they work with the stock valvetrain. So to answer that question, no, you don't have to. Should you is another question entirely.

Not certain, a big choking point is the T25. The cams will move your powerband a little past 6k where the stockers would fall off but whereas before the turbo would slightly outflow the cams, now the cams will outflow the turbo by quite a bit. Not a really good match for the T25.
