The car is an 89 240sx, with a sr20det that I swapped in a couple months ago. Recently it seems like it loses power when boosting. Its most noticable in 2nd gear, but is happening in all gears. If I accelerate fully, the engine pulls hard for the first approx. 1000 rpm until I start getting boost, then it feels like I'm trying to push a school bus. I still accelerates, but not as hard as it should. It has a new fuel filter, engine oil and filter, air filter and is running stock boost. On the exhaust side it has a 3" downpipe, no cat and 3" exhaust all the way back. Any one have this problem before? There doesn't seem to be any boost leaks (at least not that I can find)

Is oil getting past the turbo?

Also, check to see if it's leaking at any of the turbo gaskets, such as the gasket between the turbo and manifold.

Do you have a boost gauge? Are you hitting peak boost like you should? What kind of boost readings are you getting throughout the power band?

Boost is peaking just like it should, its hitting 7 psi by about 3000 rpm and boost readings look fine throughout the power band, there are no signs of an oil or exhaust leaks

Is it possible you are misfiring at higher rpms? What plug gap are you running? Maybe try gapping them a little bit closer.

I was going to go with a colder plug anyways, so I'll close the gap a little too
