What level of performance tune do we have available amongst our members who drive a SR20DET motivated vehicle. Just curious and wanting to know how far we have come in its development. i.e. bolt-ons, work done to motor, cams ,pistons, rods etc.Dyno figures, 1/4 mile times can be thrown into the mix. should make for great discussion.:thinker :thinker

just a little heads up: there are plenty of highly tuned sr's out there...i know of 8 second, 9 second, lot of 10 second, 11 second, etc etc....but they dont post on boards, or the internet...you'll find a lot of info here, but serious full time tuners, are just that, full time tuners. everything has been done by someone....the biggest and most thorough job in the community would probrobly be derrick greaser buy he isnt on this board.(as far as motor build).

hmmmmm.....

I'm calling BS. "bhp" means Brake Horse Power, that would be at the crank not at the wheels, to use both terms in one sentence makes no sense.

I'll believe you when I see a dyno sheet.

Sorry for mentioning it. If anyone would like to see pictures please email me and i will send you some. I have pictures of my motec system, pictures of the engine bay with a huge T88. And pictures of the nitrous oxide system. My email address is [email protected]. The car is at Mech Tech CA till thursady 5th september so i will be able to email pictures on saturday 7th for people who would like to see my set up. i am not gonna give any details on the specs i will let the pictures talk for themselves.

Thank you for reading my post.

why dont u just mention a little about your setup? besides just your turbo side, and ecu setup....what compressor, and trim is your T88?

No offense...but i have pics of 240 engine bays on my drive w/ t88's, standaolones, etc etc, that i could email people too, but doesnt mean i own one.

I just dont understand why you would be confusing brake hp, and wheel hp? can u explain?

and can u explain what you did to your block? also what cams did u choose to help w/ the t88 spool up?

actually, im most interested in your fuel system....please elaborate for us. that would be an impressive setup, so im interested in if your running additional injectors, or 82lb's or something....

thanks, just elaborate for us...and you should be able to understand our interpretations of your misunderstanding HP measuring ways...

ok ok, sorry for doubting you man.....

But like i said, we were basing that on your original statements, please exept my appology, for atleast me...(ill go take the flag down, lol), but understand that we do get people that come to this board, and make fake claims ie. "i have a rb26dett", or "i have a 9 sec 240sx", etc...so its hard to pick out fakers, and real people...so sorry for 'assuming' something about you. It was just your first post, and when someone pops up outta no where and makes claims like that, a lot of times, from my experience, they are fake.

Its all good, im happy if we have a member w/ a serious built 240...

Hope we get to find out more about your setup in the time to come.

I am really interested in what you did w/ your fuel setup...what kind of fuel pump, and injectors are you running? fuel cell?

Is McKinney in socal, or is it far from you? I know about their T88 powered S13 in the 510...curious to see if your setup is similar, or if you went different routes....no need to post vin #'s ; )

welcome aboard mate.

George,Is this a street car or a purpose built race car?

Wonder what the lag will be on that thing. A t88 on a Supra is considered a huge turbo and with 2 less runners on the sr20 heating up that exhaust housing I could only imagine what it will be like.

Props for going all out on your car though, sounds like a beast. Hopefully you can update us on the car and let us know what you dyno etc =)

take care,nils

Lag is an issue, i had Mech tech construct a stainless steel tubular manifold of considerable size goes almost all the way down to the oil pan. and i run a shot of nitrous so lag is not so bad.

well, the thing is, i got a great deal on the 16G, plus its a little bit of modifcation to get it on there, but not very much. i don't plan on having it on there long though..lol. when my damn income tax returns come back , i'm gettin the HKS GT2540. direct bolt on, great horsepower. and another question, i'm debating on exhaust manifolds right now...i have been thinking about this HPI Exhaust Manifold that Heavy Throttle has (i think its Heavy Throttle). my performance shop that sponsors me and trying to get me to get the JIC Exhaust Manifold. its 900 Bux, but u guys think its worth it? any other suggestions? ~Scott
