ooo so for the timing chain kit for a sr20det, I can get away with using a SR20DE's timing chain kit? I assume from the 91 SE-R?

yup, but it'll be cheaper if you get one for a 91 G20 at infinitipartusa.com

not 100% sure about the guides but I know the chain works. Let put it at high probablity that the guides work. I vaguely remember someone saying it worked on their rwd SR.

what is the front cover oil ring? my s13 blacktop didn't have that.

the crank main seal will work definately. as well as the chain. The bolts will work as well.

I dunno about the tensioner and guides, I've seen both rwd and fwd tensioner and guides they look similar but I never tried them or compared side to side (I have a g20 in addition to my 240). If I was planning on changing the guides I would buy the fwd guides and tensioner. But just beware that it may not fit.

If you have a S13 redtop the tensioner will look different from a new part btw, Nissan redesigned the tensioners on the SR around 94 because they tended to fail. The new one should be beefier looking. FYI.

do recommend using infinitipartsusa.com (p.s. you can order Nissan parts through there too) though, prices are almost always cheaper and shipping is waay faster than Courtesy.

take your gates part number to any parts store they will get you the proper belt.

I did this at my local place and they gave me Dayco belts and they worked fine. The guy told me that part numbers for belts are standardized. So they can cross-reference them easily.

K050370 AltK040345 P/S

K 05 0370....05 indicates # of ribs, 0370 indicates length of the belt. K signifies its made my Gates.

The crankshaft main bearings and thrust washers from a 92 SR20DE will fit a 92 SR20DET.

Hi,

Will the SR20DE (Nx 2000) fuel rail work for the SR20DET (180sx), i know that the FPR is on the other side and i would only be able to use 3 of the 4 brackets, but i'm not sure how important it would be.

Thanks

Also...for those running standalones that use GM style connectors (Electromotive, etc.), a 1998 Corvette coolant temp sensor threads right into the stock sensor location and of course uses a GM style connector.

The o ring sits behind the front cover bascially under the water pump. The timing chain tension side guide for USDM spec is better than the JDM one since the USDM one is metal while the JDM is all plastic.

The intake collector gasket is different from the SR20DE. So is the turbo inlet gasket from that of the VG30DETT. You'll have to take a file to the gasket's bolt holes to make it fit.

I'll list more erratta as I encounter them with my build up.
