Update: The ARP main studs for the most part will clear the upper oil pan, but the last two on the drivers side (if you're looking at the motor while on a stand with cylinders pointing down) will not clear the upper oil pan. You can trim these down.

Just did some playing with oil drain plugs. For the redtop SR20 with a stock oil pan the 93 Sentra SE-R plug DOES NOT WORK. (it didn't for me at least)

The one from the 93 240sx (Ka24de) works great. It's the same part as the NA 300zx from the same year. (Maybe the turbo 300 too but i didn't look at the part number)

Also i just did a head rebuild and the exhaust valve guids and valve seals are not the same as the SE-R either. I had to get mine from JWT. I'm sure that's on the list somewhere though.

all of the trans plugs for a KA tranny should swap over. In fact, I just recently put a 95 S14 reverse sensor into a redtop trans and it worked.

As far as timing chain goes. Everything will cross over that is in the FWD SR chain kit. The only part that will not work is the exhaust cam. The FWD SR drives it's distro off the rear of the exhaust cam whereas the RWD SR drives it off of the cam gear. I had to reuse my exhaust cam gear when I did my chain a few weeks ago.

I hear the Altima front brakes are similar or the same size as the larger JDM S13 brakes. But the part numbers arent the same.

They are actually the same pads used on R32 GTS-T's not that that helps at all.
Really? R32 GTS-T's use 300zx calipers, or at least the set I have look identicle to Z32 calipers.

you can take the motor(the big gold bit) and bolt it to the sr braket. you have take the starters apart and use the base of the sr starter. i've only done this with the a ka24e starter motor, i havent tried it with a DOHC starter.

The KA24E alternator will work also, it's a different part number than the DE alternator, but I'm running it right now. The DE and the E are both 80 AMPS, while the SR is 90 AMPs, so just be careful with the battery and stuff.. same thing, just drill out the KA24E bracket to make it fit.. it's a 3-Rib as opposed to the SR's 4-rib.. cut a rib off, or get the pulley off, I had no idea how to do it, so i just cut the belt.. so yeah..

Locking washer plate Jan 1991 - Dec 1998 14495-17F00 that's jap, yeah?

Think a 300zx's T25s have these locking washer plates? I dont even want to use lock washers because i dont think theyll help when they heat up, but my lock-tabs are work hardened and weak.

i should probably go to the nissan dealer and pull up an exhaust system parts diagram.
