I'm running an S13 with a redtop with:

-No Clutch fan-Stock SR Radiator-FMIC-Single Electric fan

Ever since the FMIC was put, I've started getting overheating problems. If I drive normal at the speed limit on roads its all good, but once I'm on the highway cruising for 10mins it starts climbing. Also, when I'm drifting after 5 mins its usually skyrocketing so I gotta turn the car off.

Usually, I just hit the heater up and the temp comes down and locks at the exact middle of the gauge, before the FMIC it used to be a tad below it.

So basically, what can I do here. Am I going to need a Koyo or some type of aluminum radiator? Any other possibilities?

Thanks.

its a no brainer. i would put the clutch fan back on. sure it'll lose power but i would not risk the motor over maybe 10hp?

you started to overheat cause your fmic is getting the airflow from your radiator.besides you probably have a small electric fan. upgrade your fan vent your hood or put a spacer on it.

Yeah I figured that, but the way the piping is, there's not any space for the clutch fan. Would my only other options be opting for a dual fan setup or aluminum radiator.

Or just one big fan. I have a 14" I would recommend getting two if you have the cash. One does me fine for Hwy driving though.
