Ok my situation: I have an s13 sr in my s14 chasis. I could either mod this thing to the balls or purchase an rb25det at the end of the summer and sell the sr20det. I only drive the car pretty much from April till end of October and during that time it is a daily driver. My goal is to have a mid to low 11 second car. So should i sell or should i just work with what i have? Would the Rb be more reliable at those HP numbers or would both the engines be the same? What would u guys do if u were in my shoes? Thanx in advance. any opinion or information would be helpful?

I'd get an rb26 for sure.

It's probably going to be easier (and cheaper) to get the power you want out of the SR than it is to get a RB. If you were making the decision about which one to go with and didn't already have the SR, I'd say RB25 because of your 11-second goal.

sr with gt2871 or some top mount will get you to the 11's easy. I agree about the parts stuff you cant find much of anything to rebuild an rb like bearings, and the ones that are available are very expensive.
