Kinda stock on this I have 95' 240sx SE manual. Im not sure which should i start saving on first. The motor swap or improve ca's handling? If I do the swap first will stock 240 be fine? Not forever but will it handle the SR20 for few month on stock brakes and suspension?

If you do the stock sr setup "not bigger turbo or fuel mag. or whatnot" you stock 240 will be fine, esp. for a few months.

I think your brakes should be fine, after all they are the same ones that came on the JDM silvia

Hey Nissan-S14, email me that pic you've got in your sig. I need some new wallpaper! [email protected]. Thanks!

BTW, is that a Ducati? It looks like one, but I'm kinda blind.

I say Whiteline bushings all around!! Also your regular coilovers and swaybars. Get this before SR swap IMO, because you won't regret it. You're not gonna get mind blowing power out of a stock SR motor, so you might as well do the fun suspension stuff. The KA deserves some credit, so just let it breathe(intake/exhaust) and you'll be satisfied enough until you can save enough for SR.

If it came down between doing either the SR swap or fixing up the suspension, I'd say just do the Sr swap first and get it out of the way, since it's probably one of the most expensive mods you will perform on your car, just the way I'd go about it.

I will give the ka prob. the most credit in the world!!! but if he is gonna do a motor swap anyways, he shouldn't be buying stuff for his ka. and the stock suspension deserves its credit also!!lol, so if he is gonna go sr, get it over with!

I couldn't tell if it was a Duc or an Agusta.

Personally, I would do the engine. But if asked by someone else, I would tell them to do the suspension, rims and tires first.

Well, exhaust can be used with the SR, and you can usually sell your intake that you buy to someone on here, and get some money back. So really there ends up being not that much money going into the KA. Suspension really isn't THAT expensive if you count out coilovers.

Actually the JDM S14 came with dual piston calipers and larger rotors in the front. IIRC identical to the z32s (280x30 is the s14 spec using opf25v disk brakes).

BUT you got it half right, and the rear are identical units to the usdm s14 in all aspects :)

I'm with Ben on this one. Then again, I'm taking my car to the track regardless of what motor is inside, and on a road course, you'll see how horrible our stock brakes will fade.

Suspension is tons of fun, and all I currently added was a cone style intake ($35 CAN) and a free flow muffler with piping after the resonator muffler ($340 CAN). Not a whole lot of coin, and my car revs easily to 6500 now. KA is fun, but I'll wait for a turbo swap, have the car prepped properly first.

OH, coil overs may be cheaper in the long run, rather than buying pieces for your suspension and adding them on as coin comes. If you buy all the parts seperately, and get them all installed at once, it may be slightly cheaper than a decent street coil over system (I've spent about $1300 CAN on parts and labour so far on my suspension, and I still NEED front pillow mounts).

LOL, you guys are keeping track of your kills?
