guys, im planning to buy a sr20det s14 blacktop, and swap it into my 92 240sx. I have some questions...all im going to get is the motor, ecu, uncut wiring harness, trannsmisson. Do i need anything ealse for this swap? Do i need to do engine mount modifications ? or will it just fit nicely like swapping a ka24 with another ka24? http://www.jdmsource.ca/v2/product.asp?ID=30 just worked a few months and got money for the 240sx, and i want to have atleast 200+ hp any other suggestion will be cool. is there like a dvd showing you how to do the swap? lolz

you also need a downpipe, an intercooler, and new heater/radiator hoses

look in the SR subforum

and yes there is a DVD showing you how to do the swap, I would buy a front clip if you could afford it, that way everything is there, it is your first swap.

yes a DVD exists...I didn't find it that helpful and the guy who did was wierd he made it seem like he was on a mission from God or something he had this terrible speech in the end. Also a ot of the DVD was about doing all the JDM swaps you could imagine like the heater switches and side mirrors. Also you might think about just putting an s13 engine in your car the wiring is easier. The engine will drop right in same mounts. However you may have cut your bumper for the intercooler to fit.

He means S13 SR, instead of doing an S14 SR, which is different.
