In the sticky for SR20DET FAQ, I read that the correct O2 sensor for a REDTOP is from a 87' turbo 300zx. However, when visiting courtesy nissan's site I run into issues.

Here is a link to the 87' sensor. http://www.courtesyparts.com/M...1988P

That doesn't look like the same plug on the O2 I have currently.

Now check out the one from 85' http://www.courtesyparts.com/M...VG30TThis DOES look like the plug that I currently have.

Ok so now can anyone clarify for me which one I should get. Obviously an expensive piece so I want to know for sure. Also, I could rewire one if it has the wrong plug, but do they both operate the same?

Thanks for your time

The 1987 300ZX sensor was claimed to be the crossover sensor because it reads the voltage properly and other years do not. It has always been known that to use the 1987 300ZX O2 sensor you needed to cut off the plug and splice in the sensor.

This is just what has been claimed over the years, I have no firsthand experience to confirm the 1987 is the right sensor, though many claim it is.

For the price you will be paying for a new O2 sensor you might as well get the actual SR20DET O2 sensor.http://phase2motorsports.store....html

Thanks for the information man. I was told by other that it would plug right in, so knowing that ill have to rewire the O2 makes sense now. And I wont be picking up up from courtesy, normally they have good prices but that is very expensive. Thanks again for clearing that up!
