I have a 1991 240SX with an SR20DET Redtop swap and it is really beginning to irritate the crap out of me. First off, sometimes its runs fine but lately it started to cut out at 4-5000 rpm with 8psi of boost. found a bunch of boost leaks, so i sealed them all off, used new vacuum lines, new couplers for my intercooler piping, and even new metal t-fittings for my bov and boost gauge. The problem is still there so i decided to sleep on it, when i woke up this morning, it wont rev past 3k, wont boost at all. i switched MAF's now it will free rev to redline and blow off but under load like driving it will rev to 4500 rpm under minimal throttle but at wot it bogs and backfires and still cuts out at 3000rpm. my tps is reading .58volts at idle and move smoothly up to 4.8volts, o2 sensor is between .400and.700volts, timing is at 20* idle and moves up to ~28* at wot up to 3k when it cuts out and then it drops to 14* with 4.8volts TPS, 3.2volts MAF, is there anything yall may be able to think of that could be the problems of my issue here??? i have a datalog file of a trip around the block from nissan obd scantech

What your describing sounds like a dying maf.

could be as simple as a bad coilpack. If you swaped it with a known good maf i would check the plugs, see if any look like they aren't sparking.

changed plugs, rewired coil pack harness and maf harness, checked afr with wideband still running bad but found its over 20:1 afr...way lean, replaced fuel pump with walbro, replaced fuel filter, still running lean, like the ecu is cutting fuel, it idles fine and if you slowly raise rpm til 4k it will rev but if you tip throttle in too quick it bogs and wants to die. funny thing is if you disconnect the ecu for a min then plug it in it runs and revs fine, builds boost and blows off until it goes under load, then it repeats all current problems

With it going 20:1, I wouldn't be reving it.

Check if the ECU has any codes.

ECU has no codes and no indication of a bad sensor.

You need to do more diagnostics. Pressurize the system and check for more leaks first..
