Hi I hate to start this topic as I'm sure its been covered before but I simply can't find the answer.

Ok the problem is no power to coil packs. This is a hybrid this car was a sr20de and we found an sr20det with a thrown piston complete in a car so we got the parts and bought a whole swap in for the other car.

Now I've looked over the wire harness cannot find an obvious problem but all the coils are getting a constant ground on E with ignition ON or trying to start however there is no power to + or - to all four coils. I'd like to know what could cause this and what to look for.

Should the power going to the coils on + & - be be pulsing on one or both?? or constant.

Could this be the ignitor chip or is it more likly something else.

And how do I go about checking the ignitor other possible problems.

You need power to all coils with ign on. Most likely its from the large blue/red stripe not being spliced in to the black/red stripe wire. There are actually 2 blue/red stripe wires that need to be spliced into black/red. The large one is power to the coils, and the small one is power to the ignitor chip when ign is on. These wires are the ones you wire up by the fuse box from engine harness to body harness.
