im doing this swap almost ready to start assembling..as per the install and firewall clearance I fully understand to make it fit and the custom manifold and stuff okay cool got it..but what im a lil confused is the electrical portion. im obviously going to run an aftermarket ecu and get a new harness but do I need to know anything really important regarding the electrical I couldn't find a good writeup in any forum about a complete swap from soup to nuts. if anyone could shed any light on this for me Id really appreciate it..or any reccomendations please as to parts and what i should run possibly..i know theres alot i need to learn in a short period of time so all the helps appreciated

It depends on how you want the VVL to engage. If you want separate control between intake and exhaust (like factory), you'll need a way to switch the solenoids independently. If you just want both to switch at the same time (like an older honda), you just need one switching source. The solenoids share a common 12V power source and are switched by ground. Most stand-alones will have a "V-TEC" switching option, this is where you'll need to hook it up. If for some reason your ecu does not, the MSD window switch is a popular option, but you'll need two if you want independent switching between solenoids. Other than that,the wiring is pretty much the same.
