Hi everyone. I am currently looking to buy a S13 SR20DET motor for my 93 240sx. Where is the best place to get one, how much, and any problems anyone have ran into installing these motors at home. Thanks

avoid Venus auto and flashoptions like the plague. order from enjuku racing (enjukuracing.com), heavy throttle (heavythrottle.com), or phase2 (phase2motortrend.com). Phase2 being the best out of all those. They'll have prices on their sites, and read the "srswap faq" on heavythrottle to learn about common problems.

Good suggestions. Always hear good things about any of the above recommended companies. Don't forget JGY Customs (http://www.jgycustoms.com); I've heard good comments about them as well.

I recieved an email from Phase2motortrend yesterday, they no longer sell engines, motorsets or front clips.

What happened there? Why'd they close up the install shop? unStable-Hybrids did the same thing...what's going one here that I don't know about?~Brendan

According to the email I recieved the motors were only a product "service", but they've been hit with an increase in online product ordering so they are going to focus on that and move away from the motor business. I guess they made the decision in the best interest of the customer. Personally, I'm glad that they are focusing on the online product sales end becuase we all know how hard it is to find a reputable online shop to get hard-to-find parts. Good for phase2 :)

That's probably a good business decision on their part. There are a ton of places to get an SR20DET engine; some better than others. un-Stable-Hybrid's decision was do to there desire to focus more on actually performing unique engine swaps instead of selling lots of products or engines...according to there website. I know there are some problems finding decent online stores which is what prompted me to start my own. :D~Brendan
