Hi guys,

I'm continuing to find the cure for my hard cold start. I'm looking in the maf to see if that's the cause. BUT I can't find the maf anywhere. Is it normally located above the intake, which lead to the turbo ? I can't seem to find it. If someone have a picture showing me where it is, greatly appriciated.

Thanks

I don't know where exactly it is (i dont have the motor), but its located on the intake pipe, but not close to the turbo. Its at least like 8 or 9 away from it cause any closer will get a reading of airflow with turbulence and that will also screw your system up.

LOL... guys guys guys... the maf is right after the intake filter, yes before the turbo, right between the intake piping and intake filter. Looks a lot like this...

What the hell are you doing with a swapped coupe if you don't know what a MAFS looks like?

Unless of course you're somehow running a MAP standalone...

umm... no. I think your confused with the Ka24de... KA (along with any other na w/ mafs) has the MAFS connected to the intake manifold (which I think you meant, I dunno wtf a madifo is). SRdet mafs are connected to the the turbos.

You should just sell the car and go get yourself a civic, then you wont have to go though the painfull process of finding out what a mafs is and what it looks like! ...ha ha, good luck dumbsh!t

I'd suggest you stop being such an a$$ to (other) newbs.

People really need to do some research before buying their ticket onto the bandwagon though...

Okay "theclub", stop being so arrogant and childish.

I know what a maf look like. I worked on my Z for a while and mind you it's a twin turbo, so I think I know a couple thing about turbo cars. The question was "Where can I find the maf on an sr20det?" because I looked at the intake's overhead and couldn't find it. I know that is where it was supposed to be on a normal car. The problem is I didn't know if it's somewhere else in an "sr20det". In addition, the previous owner did the swapped, didn't use sr20det's ecu. He used an E48EXP ecu and did an independent fuel system and did some weird wiring. So things aren't normal in my case.

Are you still following me, "theclub"? Told me to buy a civic ? That's a real insult. I proundly admit that I'm a noob in the 240sx world. Unlike some people who're trying to bash at other people to make them sound like they're not a noob. That's really immature. Why can't people be a little bit more professional?

Well if it's not on the intake, check the intercooler piping in case he's running a blow-through setup.

I've no clue who makes the "E48EXP" so I'm no help there.

Thanks for all the helpful advise guys. I'll look for it more in the morning.

These are the people that make the ecu: http://www.dtafast.co.uk/custo...s.htm

Ok, well that seems like a nice little standalone you've got on your hands, and according to the site is MAP-capable.
