Getting the crank work done, following the SR20DE's spec, it's showing my line bore is 0.005" too tight. Anyone know the line bore spec for the DET or are they the same? Never would have thought ARP main studs could change this value so much!!!

Yeah it sucks. For future reference though, there's a spec that comes up in the FSM, just not directly. Gotta pop the bearings in and take measurements that way. Tedious and longer than I'd like to have it, but it works.

Chris, thanks again for the lookout, thought I was going blind with those numbers after a while ha ha ha!

Also for anyone using the ARP main studs, I suggest checking your line bore after putting them in. My values changed alot with them in hence my headache.

I just thumbed through the silvia service manual and it looks like what you need to do is use the specs for the main bearing specs at the end of the SDS section to figure out what your spec is according to the grade numbers stamped on the block.

Yeah it wouldda been easier if I had left my crank alone, but I had it balanced, ground then polished and some other work that changed some of the diameters of the journals. It's weird though, with the oem main bolts versus the arp main studs, I never would have imagined that just a different stud/bolt could have changed the line bore so dramatically.
