for the limiter, there are Mines and Tasami ecus on ebay right now for the SR20DET that has no speed/boost limit. A buddy of mine got a Mines from ebay and it works quite well, we maxed out in 5th gear... or should I say we approached the redline in 5th gear. Half our plastic skidplates rip out from under us and later we had to go back and pick them up coz getting them from the junkyard was almost impossible.

so u have to buy a ecu just to turn off the speed cut? I know greddy and HKS sells some for other cars but its not on thier site. Are u sure no company makes a speed cut defender for the SR20det.

I know what you mean, I just saw a device like that on ebay but not sure if it'll work on all nissans. the thing is we didn't try and see if the stock sr ecu had a speed limit.

yea, maybe the sr20det ecu doesnt have that lame limiter. and i found a good speedo at http://www.lsauto.com , I jut cant see how al those guys in japan can stand only going 115mph and not making a solution. But maybe it dosnt have one? I dunno?
