SR20DET isnt running right now!!....need help please!

Alright lets get to the bottom point my sr20det isnt starting right now and i dont know why!!!!!.... the motor turns but it just doesnt start

for example i take the car around town and when i was about to jump on the freeway the motor just dies right there on the on ramp to the freeway!!???... i didnt get it at first but the car was still rolling so i tried to clutch start it but every gear i tried it didnt work at all....and when i pulled over and tried to start it back up again the it wouldnt work at all...

like i said the motor turns but it doesnt start up so PLEASE HELP!!!!.... and the injectors are stock so i dont think there is no way the motor should be running rich but who knows!!!

sounds like your not getting Air Fuel or Spark. Check to see if the fuel pump primes. Check to see if the MAf gets volts. Check to see if your getting spark.

i havent check to see if the MAF is getting enough voltage but i checked the injectors and fuel rail for pressure and there is plenty i dont know what it is.....and for the sparks i havent checked it yet so i guess that could be one of the main problems huh?

if your not getting spark i ould say ingnition cip thats what happened to me

I'm with what Blow240sx says air, fuel, or spark. I would take a stab at it and say fuel pump(most common in my opinion). Deffinately check your fuel pressure. Are you still on the factory USDM 240sx fuel pump? If you turn your ignition on with out starting the car, can you hear your fuel pump kick on? you should.

yeah, dont get frustrated, just start troubleshooting. get a spark plug tester, pull a coil, and plug the tester onto the spark plug and back into the coil. try to start and watch the light. it will be obvious, but you might have someone else watch. double check your fuel psi, how are you checking?? and test for voltage at maf. everyone is steering you in the right direction, now you jsut have to begin to troubleshoot.

Make sure your intercooler piping hasn't come apart. Big giant leak + flooded engine will crank forever.......

If you know you have fuel, I think I would jump on with joshcereal. It does sound like a Ignitor chip. If you got SR friends just unplug one an test it. But I know it happens a lot because these things really dont have a great shelf live and many of the ones we have are around 15+years old. Im not sure why more people dont realize these things do go bad. the same with coil packs.

I dont think its a boost leak because the car would still start it would idle poorly and accelerat even worse, but it would still start.
