sr20det into '90 240sx

When putting a sr into a 89-90 240sx is the only problem with the powersteering lines being on the opposite side and the tachometer not working because of a single cam?

If a front clip of a 180sx was purchased could the powersteering lines be removed and fitted into the 1990 240? Or would the only option be to go manual steering or get the lines out of a 91-94 240?

Sounds about right to me. I'm going to get a clip, and hope to god the power steering stuff isn't damaged. If need be, I can get 91-93 P/S equipment for just above cost, after I buy my clip.

If you get a clip, it should come with the gauge cluster, you can pull the tach out of there, and put it in your cluster. I'm lazy, I'm just going to put the JDM cluster in and just get used to KM/H. I like that idea anyways.

Go here and download the S14 SR20DET factory service manual. Its just about as useful as the S13 one for engine mechanics.

Yup those are the wiring diagrams. The wiring is not hard, just matching color to color usually. Time consuming yes, as you also have to extend a lot of wires so they will fit nicely. Lay down the harness over where you need it to go and just note down how long and where you need to extend it. Also i found the best install walkthrough at http://www.sportcompactcarweb....lvia/

wow...havent seen this thread in a while... The wiring diagrams are available on the sites listed above, just follow the links. By pics of the layout, do you mean of the areas that need re wiring or just the general ecu layout, im not sure what you mean.
