sr20det into 1990 mazda mx6

me and my boy saw this 1990 mx6 in queens for $500 and want to buy it...we thinkin about swappin out the 2.2 engine and auto trans for a sr20det and 5 speed from a nissan pulsar gti-r...anyone know if this swap can be done and can anyone give any good advice about this swap?thanks!!

Why not swap one of the many Mazda powerplants into it? One of the little Miller V6s would be fun as hell in an MX6.

As for the SR...yeah, it's possible. Anything is possible with enough money. The questions is: do you have the money (and, more importantly, is it WORTH the money)? And possible most importantly: why use an SR when there are better and cheaper options like the Mazda V6 motors?

1990? Isnt that a first gen MX-6? And didnt it or the Probe come with a turbo 4? Seems like that would be a better possibility than an SR20.
