sr20det internals

Hi everyone, how much can i reliably run with stock internals on an sr20det (s13 red-top). i would like to take this oppurtunity to introduce myself to the group. My name is John David and i'm from montreal, canada. i'm planning on buying an sr20det s13 red-top sometime this week will ask you guys for some advice and tips on my project as it comes up.

sorry, i forgot to mention that this would be on pump gas(93 octane)

Also, it can reliably do about 300-350 horsepower to the ground.

yea, i think the same thread is about 5 above or below this:rolleyes , but the internals should be ok upto 400-450hp

thanks guys, but are you guys talking about the thread just 3 or 4 before mine, because aside from (i think) Dauntless' reply that 340-360 whp is good with stock internals, the posts go on with theories on 1/4 mile times and trap speeds, but no one ever, not once mentionned power to weight ratios, but just peak hp figures.

Thats because we can't, it entirely depends on the setup you run. I can put a T78 on and make 320 horsepower to the ground, but not spool up till lik 6k RPMs. ( well, not REALLY ) Or I could put on a GT2530 have boost at 3k and push 320 horsepower to the ground. Thats the problem the other guy ran into, sure you make a lot of peak horsepower, but it depends on when everything comes online. I can guarantee you the GT2530 is gonna run a faster trap than the T78 if both are at equal horsepower. : )

Daunt is it the s15 turbo that is sortta the equivilant to the GT2530?

Yes, pretty much the same thing supposedly, some S15 turbos are apparently even stamped HKS GT2530. : ) However, most of the S15s tend to make a little less power, I don't know if its because people just don't push them as much or what. : ) But yes, supposedly they're about the same thing.
