I'm getting my crank machined and balanced, and im gonna need to get new rod bearings and main bearings. My question is if anyone knows if the sr20de bearings are the same as the sr20det bearings.

BTW, I was thinking about getting the parts from advanced auto parts, should I reconsider and get them from the dealer if they sell over sized ones?

Thanks, John

Not sure on compatibility, but here are some links to every interal part you could ever want for the SR20DET:

Hopefully someone will have definitive answers

bearings are the same between DET and DE. Get genuine bearings. That you won't regret. If you're getting your crank machined, have the guys doing the crank work size your bearings for you. I'm still waiting for my clevite bearings with the moly coat.

I would take your block, caps and girdle into the machine shop turning your crank. Let them order the bearings and check to make sure everything fits perfectly. Its nice to save some money and do it yourself, but bearings are something important enough to have done right the first time with extreme accuracy.

If you're getting crank work done, might want to have the machine shop check the line bore as well if you're using ARP. Found a large discrepancy with my line bore when I switched over to ARP. So have them check the line bore.
