SR20DET intercooler piping size please help

I have an SR20DET with a front mount intercooler on a 240sx s13. Stock turbo. I heard from a DSM tuner that if I run a 2.5" - 3" I will blow my turbo/lose power. Is this true? What size should I run?

gimme some of what he is smokin! The only detriment of pipe that is too big is turbo lag, it takes time for a smaller turbo to fill up all that space so you get the full boost potential. Keep in mind your final plan and get pipe that fits that. Better to suffer with a laggy setup at first then have to redo the piping when you get a bigger screw.
