well we are almost there, but we seem to have a few probs...i have a 93 manual nissan 240sx swapping in a 98blacktop s13 motor (not s14)

1. all the wiring is done excet according to everyfaq ive read it says for the harness plugs in the engine bay, connect the green with yellow stripe wire from the sr plug to the ka plug. sounds simple enough, but i have 2 green and yellow stripe wires in the red plug on the sr harness. which one do i use, are they the same thing, can i just use one or should i splice them together. i looked at the ecu plug that goes into it(the big blue one) and there are 2 green w/yellow stripes wire goin into there. so they dont merge. according to the faqs its supposed to be the ac relay wires im connectin

2.ive read diff things, do i need to swap the alternator off the ka and put it on the sr? also i read to use the ka compressor, and the dohc one should fit, will it doesnt, any advise?

3. the powersteering pump on the sr has one less connection then the ka one, so i assume use the ka pump, but it doesnt mount either, any help on that would be appreciated too.

thanks for all the help, hopefully we'll have her running this week

Im assuming you have HICAS on your car? The SR and the KA DOHC powersteering pumps are the same but the HICAS and non Hicas Pumps are different.

The KA alternator on the SR will not work unless you mod it. If the SR alternator is working, no need to change it.

As the the AC compressor, the KA one wont work with the blacktop S13 AC brackets. The AC bracket on the S13 blacktops is different from the ones on the S13 Redtop. Even with the S13 redtop though, the AC only lines up for the front two holes and it a bit crooked when installed.

thanks, perfect, well we decided to just fabricate the ac lines to match the sr compressor, now just the thing with the HICAS which is on the car, we traced the line and it looks as though we can just use the sr pump, and connect the powersteering lines, and then just remove the hicas system. i know theres that bar u can get to lock the back wheels, if we do that and then just plug up the second line in the reservoir to the HICAS it looks like that will work. anyone with experience have and tips or know of any problems that may arise?

dont want the hicas in the car, takes away from the control that i want to have, so id rather remove it and make just the powersteering work. still no answers on that green wire with yellow stripe? i mean its just the ac so i dont see how i will fry my other wiring, im not gona connect it until i know 4 sure which one is which, i can trace it to the ecu and use a diagram i got to tell me what it is, but thats a lot of work...
