SR20DET in AUTO???

hey there im completely new at this, and ive tried the search, maybe im not that good of a searcher either but my question is.....is there such a thing as a SR20DET engine with AUTO transmission that i could swap into an 1993 240SX ?????

Yes, quite a few of them out there in fact & I would prefer to use one for an egine swap (ditching the auto though...) due to the owners typically not being as hard on them as stick cars. An SR motorset from an auto car will tyically be in better shape internally than a stick. The downside is there isn't a lot out there for the auto & it is kind of weak. The upside is the internals are interchangeable with 300ZX (Z32) autos, so you can use an auto SR bellhousing with Z32 guts for a stronger mission, but you'll have a hard time getting the converter to stall higher for racing...not much at all out there for it.
