Today I finally got to work on my project that has been sitting incomplete for a few months. It was having some issues with no spark/ no fuel. I went through the wiring and got fed up, so I used a newer less hacked harness then what came with the engine/trans set. I got it all wired up, and now the injectors, and fuel pump are working when I turn the CAS by hand. The one thing that I still don't have is spark. i did notice that the ignitor is getting SUPER HOT! I burned the **** out of my hand!
This is the OEM SR20DET ignitor. I wired in a brand new Z32 ignitor, and this is not getting hot like the stock one. WIth all the coils off the engine, the injectors unplugged, and the cas out of the engine, when I rotate the cas I am only getting spark on 1 cylinder. Now on DSMs which is what I come from, you get spark on all cylinders if you turn the cas by hand. I have tripe checked wiring after replacing the F'd up harness that came with the engine, so I highly doubt that is the problem. Could this be an ECU problem?
