I am trying to help a friend get his SR running after a few have tried and failed. So far I have tested power to the ignitor and its getting no power. Grounds check out to good .02 ohms. I have tested pin 1, pin 2, pin 11, and pin 12 on the ecu and they show 0v when ignition switched. I have yet to fully test the ignition relay, but will do that tomorrow. all fuses and ground check out fine. ECU is receiveing voltage and the grounds have been properly tested.

I have tested these pins to ground checking for power and nothing comes up.....0 volts. As I understand it, according to the schematic I should receive 12volts when switched. please correct me if I have misunderstood something.

So if I test from the ecu pins 1,2,11,12 to ignitor I should see voltage? Correct

Ground to ignitor also checks out good.......

thanks for looking,Danny

If I remember, the ECU only sends a signal to the ignitor to pulse the coil pack. The coil packs receive power directly from the battery through a relay/fuse, which is turned on either by the ECU or by the key on the on position.

i tested the ignition coil relay and it checked out to be bad. I replaced it and nowI have spark. I have other issues, but I was able to figure it out using the FSM under the EC section.
