when i was taking the exhaust mani off yesterday i tried removing the hoses from the little black can on the right side of the engine i accidently cracked it. the hose looks like it has a filter inside it. can i get away with out it or do i have to get a new hose. i have a metal oil catch can on the other side of the bay. im a noob to so thats why im asking

You will probably want to replace the hose if you still plan to use it. If not you will probably have a vacuum leak. Picture might help some to.
