Hey,
I'm about to do the headgasket swap on my red top SR, but I was wondering if I should get the head machined. The original head gasket didn't blow, the motor didn't overheat. I'm replacing the gasket so it's safer at higher boost. Any input helps!
Thanks!

Having both the head and block checked and decked is a good idea if you're going to a metal headgasket. The factory gaskets are a lot more lenient towards warpage.
