I have an sr20det head gasket, its brand new, but I am kinda hesitant to install it because the guy I got it from purchased it in japan.........it came in a genuine nissan box, but the only information on it is the nissan emblem (small) and the number h33A, or maybe just 33A. Does anyone know what this mean.........or could this possibly be for a fwd sr20......does it make a difference????? Thanx.

I believe that the gaskets are a different thickness for the RWD versoin and the FWD version at least that is what I am inferring from the Enjuku Racing website. They have it listed that the RWD SR20 version is 1.2mm thick and that the FWD SR20 version is 1.4mm thick. You can check it out for yourself at http://www.enjukuracing.com/sr...e.htm

You're not wrong. It wont be BAD but it will lower compression a tiny bit which might not be what the op is looking to do. Has any one figured out what the stock gasket thickness is yet? I've searched all over to no avail.

Why are you bumping a 5 year old thread? Anyways, your searching aparently didn't cover the FAQ, which I put in there that it's 1.1mm. A number that was confirmed by enthalpy.

Five years old?!? Woops! I don't really know what people are talking about when they say "search in the FAQ" because I've looked in there (the link at the top of the page that says 'FAQ') and all I've seen is stuff like "how to reset you user name" or "how to start a new topic" and other such things which are not very helpful. But thanks for the info. I've been trying to figure that out for like two days!
