if its an early s13 blacktop you wire it up the same way like a redtop. You will have to make a couple of adjustments.

Why did they switch out his chassis harness? But so long as you have a USDM chassis harness, you should be good to go. If it's JDM, the Super Multi-Junction plug will be on the wrong side of the car.

Unless you hate life and happen to have a complete and total understanding of how the harnesses are put together, you'd do yourself, and your life span, a favour to steer clear of doing that job.

The S14 and S13 harnesses are not compatable. you could conceivably splice the harnesses together with the S13 plugs and a lot of soldering/rerouting, but unless you happen to be a master auto electrician, it's not a task that would be fun and exciting.

That point aside, the JDM and USDM harnesses are routed differently. The wonderful and "fun" Super Multi-Junction plug is always on the driver's side of the car. It is the linking point for the interior main harness to hook up with the engine bay main harness. So you can imagine how many power wires, signal wires, and test wires go through that. You would have to lengthen and solder more wires than you'd care to count.

i think the ecu will need to be repinned if your using a redtop ecu on a late s13 harness.

He's not talking about the EFI harness.

Ok, you purchased a harness from a late model sr20 blacktop (97-98). I have that (late) model motor and purchased the early wiring harness. Your gonna have to repin the ecu like David said. There is a couple plugs to switch out as well. Go to heavythrottle.com or frsport.com for the wiring instructions. I had to do things the complete opposite. Research on how to repin the ecu and your golden!
